Thrombolytic Therapy

Thrombolytic therapy is the mainstay for the treatment of ST segment elevation myocardial infarction. This utility beyond reduction of mortality has been resulted in improvement of left ventricular function and reduction of the complications due to myocardial infarction together with improvement of patients’ quality of life. Another pitfall of thrombolytic therapy is its feasibility.
