Atrial Ectopic Rhythms And Atrial Tachycardias

Atrial ectopic rhythms and atrial tachycardias are
arrhythmias arising from atrial structures other than sinus node. The
P wave on the surface ECG during these rhythms is different from sinus rhythm. Atrial premature depolarizations are seen very frequently in healthy individuals and do not require therapy. On the other hand, atrial tachycardias are heterogenous disorders seen in a variety of cinical conditions.Some of these arrhythmias are very brief and do not cause any symptoms while some pthers may cause hemodynamic compromise.
