Valvular Heart Diseases And Pregnancy

aKardiyoloji AD, Trakya Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, EDİRNE Valvular heart disease in young women is most commonly due to rheumatic heart disease, congenital abnormalities, coronary artery diseases and previous endocarditis may increase the maternal and fetal risks associated with pregnancy. The likelihood of an adverse outcome is related to the type and severity of maternal valvular disease and the resulting abnormalities of functional cepacity, left ventricular function, and pulmonary pressure. The profound hemodynamic changes associated with pregnancy have marked effects on patients and require special attention and care.
